A Ballerina Room - Fun and Feminine!Is your little girl busy spinning circles around you?
A ballerina room would be a great bedroom idea for her! A ballet theme room can really work for girls of any ages. It can be cute with all the ruffles and frills or it can be very feminine and sophisticated for that pre-teen or teen.
The Bedding and Curtains For the bedding a gingham pattern would give this ballerina room a special feel. You can also continue the gingham pattern over into the pillows. For the younger girl, bedding with a ballerina printed on it will be right up her alley. Sheer curtains are a very nice choice. You can find sheers in white and pink. Use a couple of pairs of ballet slippers for the tie backs to give it that extra special touch.
The Walls A common color for the walls in a ballerina room is pink. You can either go with the soft pastel pinks, the bright pinks or combine them both. Pink is not your only option of course. You can design a great ballet room using any kind of soft pastels like yellow or purple.
Painting the walls a solid color is the easiest way to go. You can also do some really cool faux painting techniques like sponging or rag rolling.
Wallpaper is another option for this room decorating idea. A pink striped wallpaper would look really nice and give the room a real feminine touch. Wall murals are a great idea for any girl bedroom theme. For a ballerina room either a mural of a ballet class or just one ballerina performing will look very nice. Framed art or ballerina room posters is another great idea. It all depends on the age of your little girl and the way she wants her room to feel.
The Furniture For the furniture, wicker and white furniture pieces would blend right in. Good furniture pieces to have when decorating kid bedrooms are an armoire for housing the tv, stereo, clothes or extra blankets.

To hold all that delicate ballerina wear a semainier would add a nice feminie touch.
